It's time once again for Toxic Free NC's annual guide to organic Christmas trees and wreaths in North Carolina! We've compiled a list of places to get organic NC Christmas trees and wreaths.
By choosing a tree or wreath from one of these growers, you'll get a triple whammy of benefits: You'll protect your family from pesticide residues, protect Christmas tree workers and their families from pesticide poisoning on the job, and you'll support local growers who respect their workers and our environment.
Here are a couple more ideas for your sustainable holidays:
* Give to Toxic Free NC in honor of a friend. Give a gift that fights pesticide pollution all across NC by making a donation to Toxic Free NC in honor of a loved one this holiday season! We'll send your friend a beautiful hand made holiday card aknowledging your gift in their honor. More information.
* Take the buy local holiday pledge. The Triangle Area's Indepenedent Weekly is inviting readers to pledge to spend at least $100 at locally-owned businesses this holiday season - farms definitely count! But, you don't have to be an IndyWeek reader to buy local in your community.
Thank you for your support, and have
a very happy holiday season.
